A man is bitten by a zombie and undergoes the horrible transformation into a soulless corpse.
Directors Commentary:
Im thrilled with the way Undead came out. Producing was difficult; gathering actors, costumes, make up, and props, but I think it was an eventual success. As for directing the story I think this film stands out from most other zombie movies; never have I seen a zombie film from a zombies perspective. Two things really brought Undead onto a whole new level, sound design and color correction. Sound design was pretty easy, but impressively effective. Low tones to bring in more emotion along with the offsetting music. Both really helped set the mood and tie the movie together. Color correction also did a lot to drive the emotional aspect of the movie. In the beginning everything has a gray, dead, de-saturated feel to it. This is to amplify the zombie apocalypse and make the world seem empty. After the main actor is bitten everything turns cold, dark, and blue. This is to give a dead tone to a neighborhood once filled with life, and to make the audience feel lonely, wanting, almost as if they are robbed of their humanity just like the protagonist. Overall I think undead was a fantastic film, and on such a small budget, I couldnt ask for a better product.
