Your better off not wearing armour at all, chainmail/shark mail would be acceptable if it is a lighter metal that makes it but it will only slow you down.

yeah you guys would never survive a zombie attack. this isn’t a game this is real life!!! zombies will kill us all if we try to wear suits of armor, get some guns and get somewhere safe it is that easy. if you are in close enough combat for a zombie to bite you he will tear at your gun or tackle you. no survival there!
