Just ignore bows …
Just ignore bows completly you need to be a skilled hunter to kill something with a bow, and to penitrate the skull with a arrow is gonna be almost impossable(almost) it took a entire lifetime for people to learn how to use a bow effectivly, and the chances of that person hitting the target when it is only them is slim to non, use a crossbow.

Bow/xbows are more …
Bow/xbows are more useful for tower guards work. To load aim and shoot you have to be standing still which just isnt practical on the ground when you should be moving. Better suited to just pick them off from uphigh as they get close. Good rule if they too far to properly hit them dont bother shooting better to run. If they’re to many, arrows take far too long to shoot and your better off running. Slings/slingshots are just to cumbersome and dont do enough damage better off running.

Both types of …
Both types of weapons would be very hard to aim effectively. Sure a sling can crack a skull but that’s not enough to stop a real zombie. And are you gonna carry around 50 or so fist-sized rocks? I dont think so. Bows are very difficult to aim, and the ammo would be hard to find, especially in urban areas. On the plus side, both weapons are silent, which is important, because you don’t want to attract more and more zombies with gunfire and explosions.

my favorite weapon is my sling. i can hit a target the size of a penny from 10 yds. i practice ALOT

Fair point, but if you save your brass and have the tools you can reload most ammo types. But in the extreme long run, a crossbow would be the best choise.
Unless you happen to know of a military ammo dump or two.

bows are good if you are expert and able to control yourself enough to aim. a crossbow is better to aim then a bow

I didnt like …
I didnt like underworld because the vampires had reflections and werent affected by silver. And most of the ideas for underworld seemed to be stolen from Hellsing. Now Alucard is my kinda Vampire lol that and the old black and white Dracula
