I’d say go back into the Karate and specify in the use of blades, practical or improvised weaponry such as spades and crowbars, and get into defense as opposed to attack–you aren’t trying to hit them when it comes down to hand to hand; you’re trying to get away.

The problem with …
The problem with that is that EVERYBODY’S thinking of that. You might fight off the zombie menace, but then starvation comes in at full force with the literal millions joining you in your quest up north. Oh, and technically, the zombies won’t break apart when they freeze.
