A very sound point, i have a display one, it can be sharpened, but i tested another one, and its bent to crap. But there are some companies that seem like the real deal, like Cold steel, or whatever (im not gonna be surprised if someoone disagrees)

katana is …
katana is reallllllllly good, but its hard to find the real ones. you can easily buy the replicas but like i said, its hard to find the REAL ones. and some times its hard to tell the difference between them until it breaks, then it might be too late. but other than that. katana’s good, just make sure its real.

I know this dosent fall under the standards of the video, but i would go for a katana good 2′ to 3′ blade. You a few good arms lengths away, it can decapitate the head with ease, and its easy to carry!

Machetes? UGHH! …
Machetes? UGHH! The kind of machetes available in most hardware stores are extremely thin and light, and are of too soft steel to take a good edge. A guy in a cotton sweatshirt would be impervious to a machete. Not to mention they are just about the worst choice for a survival tool in the North American wilderness and I would thus not have one on me. If all I had to fight zombies with was a machete and a screwdriver, I’d ditch the machete, unless I was in a Hollywood action movie.

I like the idea about the rifle. I would not reccomend a shotgun. If you can bring it then do so but the shot spred will not be good for keeping a distance.

to say that there is no possible way is scientifically an incorrect statement. However, it is highly improbable. In any potential real-life scenario comparable to those movies the incubation period of the disease would probably be longer than a few minutes. However, rabies in humans is fatal 100% of the time and we do not present with the symptoms of animal rabies. It is quite possible for a human strain to either be genetically engineered, or an animal strain to mutate to afflict a human host.

But in those movies their version of the disease is an advanced form of rabies and happens in mere minutes, theres no possible way that can actually happen.

i hate large …
i hate large weapons. i like to go small and deadly because if you are in a building or something like that itl be hard,(say you are in an alley of some sort and you had a shotgun), the shotgun would be hard to get at the zombies head if he’s a foot away cause of its long barrel. i think a hatchet or a sawed off would be nice. remember stay away from dark alleys, melee weapons dont need reloading, and stay warm ^^

Agreed, plus California has so many laws the only katana you can get is ordered. Plus then there’s always other Japanese and Chinese and British arms that work. Spartan Shield, Claymore, Naginata, War Hammers, and Kusari-Gamas.
