A very sound point, i have a display one, it can be sharpened, but i tested another one, and its bent to crap. But there are some companies that seem like the real deal, like Cold steel, or whatever (im not gonna be surprised if someoone disagrees)

katana is reallllllllly good, but its hard to find the real ones. you can easily buy the replicas but like i said, its hard to find the REAL ones. and some times its hard to tell the difference between them until it breaks, then it might be too late. but other than that. katana’s good, just make sure its real.

I know this dosent fall under the standards of the video, but i would go for a katana good 2′ to 3′ blade. You a few good arms lengths away, it can decapitate the head with ease, and its easy to carry!

Machetes? UGHH! …
Machetes? UGHH! The kind of machetes available in most hardware stores are extremely thin and light, and are of too soft steel to take a good edge. A guy in a cotton sweatshirt would be impervious to a machete. Not to mention they are just about the worst choice for a survival tool in the North American wilderness and I would thus not have one on me. If all I had to fight zombies with was a machete and a screwdriver, I’d ditch the machete, unless I was in a Hollywood action movie.
